The Most Anticipated PS4 Games for 2015

The following titles should be very familiar to most PS4 gamers out there, after all, they've pretty much been endlessly hyped in various trade shows (some for years now).

Clearly, they're doing A-OK as is, which should be obvious when gleaning data from recent sales figures, which currently shows them topping 18 million in global sales.

Even though many in the industry feel that they've yet to release the true masterpiece titles for the console, they've managed to produce a gaming machine that seems poised for a top position in the record books.

Well, fans could be in for a real treat soon, because Q1 has some really releases in store for everyone...

  1. Evolve
  2. Basically a bunch of different multiplayer ideas evocative of what was found in Left 4 Dead, plus some newer concepts set alongside awesome graphics.

Four teammates go up against a fifth who plays the role of "the monster", which as it turns out can actually evolve after taking down prey.

It has all the necessary elements, including great level designs, to be a heavy hitting game for the year.

  3. The Order: 1886

  4. The PS4 has been aching for a new IP that features action and drama, and that's exactly what's headed our way in "The Order: 1886".

Basically, this is an alternate reality, steampunk Victorian grit fest with lots of excellent gameplay and a gripping story, or at least that's the general impression we've gotten thus far.

  5. Battlefield Hardline

  6. Moving away from traditional war zones and settings, instead drifting into civilian territory, Battlefield Hardline sees the fabled series shifting more toward a swat-like frame of reference.

By and large everything is likely to handle more or less the same, of course, but the change of scenery might also open up the single player and/or multiplayer modes to some new concepts as well.

  7. Final Fantasy Type-0 HD

  8. Final Fantasy Type-0 has been out for a while now, but thanks to an HD reskinning and some other tweaks, it is finally finding its way onto the PlayStation 4.

All in all, it delivers exactly what you want out of an RPG, including delivering those stunningly deep emotional twists and plot turns that have become a staple of the series.

Most will immediately appreciate the fact that the overall style is indicative of more modern military themes, however it still manages to hang on to the same type of basic combat feel as found in earlier fantasy-drenched atmospheres.

  9. Bloodborne

  10. Some have called it the successor to Dark Souls 2; others seem adamant that Bloodborne is going to be its own beast.

In truth, it is basically both of these things. Yes, From software's impending drop is definitely going to satisfy those who like challenging, dark and mysterious role-playing gameplay.

The environments have been called bone-chillingly fantastic and the combat has been updated as well, so expect an evolution of the core concept that the studio is known for.

  11. Grave

  12. To be perfectly honest, "Grave" has three things going for it: 1.) it is an open world game featuring procedural generation, 2.) it's of the survival horror genre, and 3.) it looks visually impressive as well.

Die-hard fans of all things scary and/or RPG freaks have been clamoring for a game that might be able to mesh together frights and sandbox exploration, well, it seems that we might finally get what we've been asking for.

  13. DmC: Devil May Cry -- Definitive Edition

  14. Essentially a remastered edition of the ever-popular 7th generation release (of the game bearing the same name), DmC: Devil May Cry -- Definitive Edition is poised to pack a real punch.

Aside from updating the basic experience it will also come stocked with additional content and new play modes. <

  15. Borderlands: The Handsome Collection

  16. Fans of the singularly unique Borderlands series are probably beyond ready for the Handsome Collection to drop.

It consists of remastered versions of Borderlands 2 as well as Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, additional content in tow as well.

  17. Resident Evil Revelations 2

  18. Designed to be delivered in installments, Resident Evil Revelations 2 seems to be moving the franchise closer toward the sort of survival horror experience that fans of the genre have long enjoyed.

It features a unique storyline with various characters, cooperative gameplay and tension galore. Strangely enough, the events of this game are set to take place between RE5 and RE6.

  19. Wander

  20. Wander is a game that features no competition and no combat, yet it is also an MMO. Instead, it focuses on the aspects of visual beauty and exploration as well as allowing you to assume different animal and plant forms as you progress.

In short, it is definitely an original concept with loads of potential and innate commercial appeal to boot.
