Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi has reportedly scheduled an event for the 12th of February in San Francisco, California. Considering that the company usually doesn’t hold any events in the U.S., this has gotten us thinking about the company’s potential plan to expand into the highly competitive American mobile segment.
Nothing has been confirmed as of yet, but if this is in fact true, it could lead to an interesting couple of months ahead. It is not very likely that the company could show off new hardware at the event given that it only recently announced the Mi Note and the Mi Note Pro for the Chinese markets.
Since details regarding this event are very scarce at the moment, it’s hard to pinpoint as to what’s going to be on offer. But it has certainly piqued our interest and we will look forward to more information from the company regarding this new event.
