I Wanna Be A Cristina Yang And You?

You can argue about Global Warming. You can debate about the authenticity of Theory of Evolution. You can fight over Mac or Windows, Android or iOS, Google or Bing. You can explain how Facebook is a tool to waste your time and Twitter isn't. But you can't deny your love for American Television Shows. You adore the characters and one day you aspire to become just like one of them. Here's a list of some characters that I've watched and loved in recent years. 

Chandler Bing (Friends 1993-2003) 

Chandler's father never dressed like a father, but Chandler turns out to be a good kid; learnt how to send and receive emails, gets a job, marry his best friends sister and above all can crack a joke anytime, at any situation. Yes, Chandler is funny! He's friendly and lives with same friends for about 10 years.  

Vincent Chase (Entourage 2004-2011)
From childhood acquaintances to James Cameron- people love Vinny, people work for Vinny. He  
sings I Wanna Be Your Super Hero and gets to act Aquaman and Pablo Escobar. He can buy his friends anything from cars to exclusively signed sneakers. Vincent has got the best agent Ari Gold in the Hollywood who can transform a show into a movie, releasing in June 2015.

Dr. Meredith Grey (Greys Anatomy 2005-)
 

She's dark and twisty. She's seen a lot. From a mother who never appreciated her to death of almost all of her friends and sister, she lost her BFF, her person, Cristina Yang. Survived drowning, even an airplane crash. On top of it, has a hostile uterus with going into DIC, an extremely rare complication, on birth of her son, Bailey. But she's Meredith Grey! Board member of Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital, excellent General Surgeon and a mother of two kids. 

Francis Underwood (House of Cards 2013-)

They say anyone can be a president but only Kevin Spacey can be Francis Underwood. OMG! He's that good. When he makes a political move you just know how it'll go.  He can pass controversial educational bill in 100 days. He can patronize  a congressman from Pennsylvania, he can spread his word by using Wall Street journalist; and kill them both. He can get fire President Chief of Staff Linda Vasquez to President of USA himself and replaces him as a successor. He is Francis Underwood. He is Kevin Spacey.

Michael Bluth (Arrested Development 2003-2006) & Walter White (Breaking Bad 2008-2013 ) 

Both Michael Bluth and Walter White have one thing in common, both have crazy families. They wanna keep them together and provide for them. Well that's the only thing in common. Michael is rich, heirs a company that his father built and is in jail now. Walter White is the Best Chemistry high school teacher ever, suffers from lung cancer, cooks meth, fight Mexican Cartel, has a pothead business partner 
once school student. Walter White is the Danger, known by the alias 
of Heisenberg in DEA, lives with the chief of DEA! Heisenberg will make you fall in love with the subject you dreaded the most, Chemistry. 

Dr. Cristina Yang (Greys Anatomy 2005-)

Dr. Cristina Yang is a Rockstar. She has done Ph.D. in biochemistry from Berkeley and an M.D. from Stanford University School of Medicine. She is a chief medical officer, director of 
Cardiothoracic surgery, board member of Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital and a former Bartender! She can choose medicine over family, friends and literally everything in the world. She is super passionate, an aspiring Cardiothoracic surgeon, winner of Harper Avery award  of excellence. Sometimes she does act like a robot who doesn't care at all, doesn't want children or any distractions from work. But who cares, she's Cristina Yang.



Dr. John Dorian (Scrubs 2001-2010) 

JD is a doctor from Scrubs. He's a good doctor, but indecisive when it comes to taking personal decisions. It took him almost eight years to decide with whom he should spend the rest of his life out of literally six people he knew all this time. JD gets bullied on the daily basis from his 
supervisor and the janitor of the hospital; learns the art of medicine, the hard way. So, he's just a good doctor who can treat, dance and sing in the corridors of Sacred Heart Hospital. 

Lindsay Weir ( Freaks And Geeks 1999-2000 )

Lindsay comes from a middle class family with a focus on studies. She's a winner of Mathletics 
competition last year, has friends from Mathletics and a geek younger brother with more geek friends. Lindsay wants to go nuts this year with crazy friends who wants to enjoy their youth to fullest, follow ambitions not rules. Lindsay is all about transformation; good girl going bad (read; rebel). Exploring her options. Trying out new things. Life is simple without taking risks, studying text books. With friendship with freaks come joys, sorrows and heartaches. But Lindsay realizes in a High School life offers more than text books. 

Dr. Gregory House (House M.D. 2004-2012)

House is a badass doctor with subspecialties in pathology, nephrology and infectious diseases and is currently Head of Diagnostic Medicine of Princeton Plainsboro Teaching Hospital. You are lucky if your doctor is Dr. House. You're even unluckier if your doctor is Dr. House. For him you're a sick 
body and he'll take out the kidneys, transplant livers, amputate legs if he intends to cure your fever that way! Because he's Dr. House. He'll get it right eventually with a lot of complaining, whining and experimenting absurd theories on you.
