New Samsung Galaxy Flagship Phone Expected To Be Unveiled 1st March

The next Samsung flagship device is set to be unveiled on 1 March. Samsung has licked the envelopes and sent out invitations to journalists for Galaxy Unpacked, the regular event at which its new devices take their first steps.
The tantalising all-black invitation reads "What's Next" and hints at a curved device. (Either that or a fork.) The rumoured Samsung Galaxy s6 smartphone is expected to be the big draw at the event that Sunday evening in Barcelona, Spain, ahead of the mobile world congress trade show.
It's an important time for Samsung to launch a new flagship device, as the Korean company has seen its lead in the mobile market slide during a worrying five quarters losses in a row.
At last February's Galaxy Unpacked event, Samsung revealed the Galaxy s5 and the Gear 2 and Gear Fit wearable smart devices. Then in September, the second Unpacked of the year saw the launch of the Galaxy Note 4.
Recent devices have shown off new aesthetics including metal casings and curved screens -- as well as new Tizen software -- which are likely to continue in 2015.
The first Unpacked of each year takes place at the annual mobile-industry trade show known as Mobile World Congress. MWC sees mobile manufacturers, phone networks and others gather in Barcelona to show off their wares for the coming year. From mobile phones and tablets, the show has expanded to smart-home devices, wearables, and the Internet of Things -- the idea of connecting more devices and objects to the Web.
