Sony has today announced a new affordable smartphone. Meet the Xperia
E4. But don't let that fool you for believing it's not worth the
investment. This new Sony handset certainly packs a punch with a 5-inch
IPS qHD display, quad-core processor and a battery life that should last
you two days, according to Sony. As well as the specifications, the
Xperia E4 also sports a new curved "OmniBalance" design.
Back to the internals, we're looking at a 1.3 GHz processor with four
cores, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, a 5-MP rear shooter (and
2-MP for the front), as well as the 2,300mAh batter with "Ultra Stamina
Mode". The Xperia E4 has made the rounds to its local gym, or something.
The battery saving mode actually limits the drain to just core
functionality required to keep the phone operable and should help you
squeeze out more vital minutes before the juice runs dry.
Expect to see the Xperia E4 launch in the middle of this month,
available in both single- and dual-SIM variants. No word on pricing yet,
but we'll expect to see something prior to launch. See the press
release below for more details.
